How We Started

We’re NextChapter Sdn Bhd, and we didn’t start because we had all the answers. We started because we noticed something missing in Malaysia’s professional landscape — there’s no real space where mid-career professionals can honestly explore what comes next without judgment or pressure.

In 2016, our founder spent six months stuck. Twelve years in corporate strategy, solid track record, decent paycheck — but mornings felt hollow. The issue wasn’t burnout exactly. It’s that nobody asks the right questions when you’re this far into your career. The traditional approach just says “keep climbing” or “try a hobby.” That’s not enough.

So we built something different. We created workshops, assessment tools, and one-on-one guidance designed specifically for people who’ve already proven themselves but wonder if they’re climbing the right ladder. We’ve worked with engineers becoming educators, finance managers transitioning to nonprofits, corporate leaders starting ventures, and plenty of people just trying to figure out what “success” actually means to them.
